David focuses his practice on complex commercial and bankruptcy litigation.

Business Disputes: David has represented a wide range of businesses and financial institutions in state and federal court. David has handled a variety of matters involving business divorces and business torts, including cases involving contract disputes, interference with business relationships, trade secrets and intellectual property disputes, and director liability.

Bankruptcy Litigation and Restructuring: David handles sophisticated business workouts, corporate reorganization, and complex commercial bankruptcy. David has assisted in representing debtors, creditors, and bankruptcy trustees in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and in bankruptcy adversary proceedings.

Representative Matters include:
  • Obtained 100% cash recovery for client in settlement of case involving fraudulent invoicing, negligent hiring, retention, and supervision, and respondeat superior, within a month of serving the complaint.
  • Assisted in representation of AutoZone, Inc. in consolidated adversary proceeding brought by Chapter 7 Trustee alleging approximately $12 million in claims involving preferential transfers, turnover of estate property and recovery of accounts receivable.
  • Representation of former director of a company incorporated in the British Virgin Islands that operated in China in action alleging control person liability under the Securities Exchange Act.
  • Representation of Fortune 500 company in action alleging breach of warranty and violation of the Tennessee Consumer Protection Act.

David earned his B.A. from Washington and Lee University in 2007 and his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 2010. While in law school David served as symposium editor and associate editor of the Arkansas Law Review and was elected to the Arkansas School of Law Honor Council. Additionally, he received the award for best advocate in the Arkansas Law School Trial Competition and was named the Top Oralist in the Moot Court Competition. David received the Vincent W. Foster Jr. scholarship for ethics and was elected class speaker for the Arkansas School of Law commencement. In his free time, David enjoys duck hunting and playing basketball.
