DeParle Named to White House Health Reform Post
We note with pleasure and confidence the appointment by President Obama of Bass, Berry & Sims alumna Nancy-Ann DeParle to the position of Counselor to the President and Director of the White House Office for Health Reform. Ms. DeParle, a Tennessee native, is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and Harvard University Law School and a Rhodes Scholar. She was formerly a partner at Bass, Berry & Sims. She served as the Commissioner of Tennessee's Department of Human Services and held a prominent healthcare reform position in the Clinton Administration.
