Cecil joined Bass, Berry & Sims PLC in 2011 as an associate in the Litigation Practice.

Prior to joining the firm, Cecil served as a law clerk to the Honorable Richard J. Sullivan on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and to the Honorable Gilbert S. Merritt, Jr. on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Cecil earned his law degree in 2008 from Georgetown University Law Center, magna cum laude, where he served as editor-in-chief of The Georgetown Law Journal. He earned his B.A. in English from Princeton University, cum laude, in 2000.

Outside of work, Cecil enjoys travel, sports, music and literature.
