Chad Jarboe focuses his practice on complex business litigation and antitrust litigation and counseling, for both public and private clients.
Antitrust and Trade Practices: Chad has represented clients before the Department of Justice, in federal court, and in response to inquiries from state attorneys general with respect to a variety of antitrust issues. Chad also counsels public and private clients on a variety of antitrust issues including mergers, pre-merger coordination, exclusive dealing, resale price maintenance, and other competition and trade matters. Amongst other industries, Chad counsels various healthcare clients on healthcare-specific antitrust issues such as physician joint negotiations and provider relations with managed-care organizations.
Corporate and Securities Matters: Chad also assists in the representation of public, private, and international clients in complex litigation in both federal and state court on a variety of matters including contract and other corporate disputes. His corporate experience ranges from international corporate shareholder disputes to representing public and private clients in defense of tort and contract claims in various federal and state courts throughout the country. His securities work includes assisting in the defense of broker-dealers before both FINRA and state courts, defending directors against allegations of violations of federal securities laws, and conducting a regulatory audit of the New York and American Stock Exchange.
Compliance and Government Investigations: Chad is a member of the firm’s Compliance and Government Investigations practice group and his experience includes assisting in the representation of clients in the Southern District of New York and elsewhere throughout the country.
Chad graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he received the highest grade award in eleven courses, was elected to the Order of the Coif, was a recipient of the John W. Green Scholarship for academic excellence and high ethical standards, and was a staff member for Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law. Through the University of Tennessee Legal Clinic, Chad successfully represented a client as the sole chair on a two day jury trial, which he won. He earned his B.A. in Government with a minor in History from the University of Virginia.
