Managing Director, Multi-Practice and Industry Groups
We are looking for a highly motivated professional to work closely with the Multi-Practice and Industry Groups.
Responsibilities: Major responsibilities include driving the Group’s business planning process including long and short term strategic plans with benchmarking, monitoring and measurement of achievement; reviewing and analyzing financial data relating to the practices; managing business development initiatives, including working collaboratively with other departments on RFPs and client pitches; working with other practice and industry groups to identify, develop and grow new practice opportunities and align new opportunities with the goals and objectives of other Practice Groups and the Firm as a whole; providing support for and managing knowledge management initiatives within the practice groups; assisting with matter budgeting and alternative fee proposals; and managing meetings and various strategic initiatives of the practice groups.
The Managing Director will be the point person for coordinating on behalf of the groups with personnel in the Accounting, Marketing, Recruiting, Knowledge Management, and Professional Development Departments.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree is required - JD or Master’s degree preferred with 5-7 years experience as a practicing attorney or business development professional. Understanding of law firm accounting, sales and marketing and proven project management skills. Ability to work in a professional and collegial manner with attorneys, paralegals and staff. Ability to work independently and be proactive. Working knowledge of Word, Outlook and Excel. Ability to learn and utilize additional programs.
