Mr. Reed is a senior partner of Bass, Berry & Sims PLC.  He graduated from Duke University in 1961, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Omicron Delta Kappa.  He received his LL.B. degree from Vanderbilt University in 1964, where he was a member of Order of the Coif, served as editor-in-chief of the Vanderbilt Law Review and graduated with First Honors.  Mr. Reed joined Bass, Berry & Sims PLC in 1964 and currently focuses his practice in the areas of business planning and resolution of owner disputes.  Mr. Reed, who is listed in The Best Lawyers in America ®, is a member of the Nashville, Tennessee and American Bar Associations.  He has lectured in law at Vanderbilt University and has served as chairman of the board of the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee; chairman of the Tennessee Higher Education Commission; president of the board of The Ensworth School; and chairman of the Evaluation Committee of Success by Six.  Mr. Reed is currently chairman of the Board of Advisors of the Massey Graduate School of Business of Belmont University, a director of J. Alexander's Corporation and a member of the Executive Committee of Covenant Association for Metropolitan Community Relations, Inc.
