Bass, Berry & Sims PLC and Legal Aid of East Tennessee to Hold Pro Bono Clinic at All About Women
Nashville, Tenn., August 19, 2009 – Attorneys and staff from the law firm of Bass, Berry & Sims PLC will join efforts with Legal Aid of East Tennessee and the University of Tennessee College of Law’s Law Women Organization to hold a Pro Bono Clinic at the 2009 Knoxville All About Women event on Saturday, August 29 from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. at the Knoxville Convention Center. Attorneys will be available to answer legal questions and provide assistance with general durable powers of attorney, healthcare powers of attorney and living wills. The firm is also a sponsor of the event.
At similar events in Memphis and Nashville earlier this year, attorneys and staff from the firm have assisted over 200 women, providing services to those who otherwise would not have access to these resources. All About Women seeks to provide women from all economic backgrounds access to the information, services and tools needed to lead healthier lives.
This will be the first year that All About Women has extended its reach from Middle Tennessee to Memphis and Knoxville. In All About Women’s seven-year history in Nashville, more than 65,000 women have been enlightened and educated by the organization’s programming.
