Amy Worrell joined Bass, Berry & Sims PLC in October 2007 as an associate in the firm's Litigation Practice Area.  Previously, she was an associate with Tate Lazarini Brady & Davis, PLC and she served as the judicial law clerk for the Honorable Diane K. Vescovo, Magistrate Judge for the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee.  She is admitted to practice in the state courts of Tennessee and before the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee.

Amy earned her B.B.A., cum laude, from Belmont University in 1999 and her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Memphis in 2006.  While in law school, she served on the University of Memphis Law Review as the senior notes and comments editor, and was the author of the comment, "Professional Responsibility---Doe v. Doe:  Free Speech Rights Violated by Requiring Confidentiality of Attorney Misconduct Allegations," 35 U. Mem. L. Rev. 951 (2005).  Amy also participated in moot court, winning the 2004 Advanced Moot Court Competition and earning the Best Brief award for that same competition.  She received the Dean's Award for Academic Excellence in Legal Methods as the Best Oral Advocate, earned the Dean's Distinguished Service Award and was named in Who's Who Among Law Students.  Amy was active in other activities, including serving on the Student Bar Association, acting as a teaching assistant for the Academic Support Program and volunteering for the Community Legal Center.

Outside of the office, Amy serves as a board member on the University of Memphis Law Alumni Board of Directors and also a board member of the Young Lawyers Division of the Memphis Bar Association.  She also volunteers as a big sister for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Memphis.
