Commercial Lending

Bass, Berry & Sims PLC has substantial experience in all aspects of the acquisition, financing, development, leasing management, leasing and sale of real property.

Our firm represents the interests of both real estate developers and/or users as well as real estate lending institutions.  Our institutional clients include REITs, real estate operating companies, state and national banks and insurance companies.  Our firm's real estate development clients include local, regional and national developers, end users and property managers.  Attorneys in the real estate area also regularly advise our firm's general business clients in their real estate activities.

Our firm also handles a variety of commercial litigation matters that arise in bankruptcy proceedings or in state or federal courts involving creditor-debtor relations, title insurance claims, real estate matters or lender liability issues.  In many instances, attorneys in this practice work closely with members of our firm's Bankruptcy and Litigation  Practice Areas in connection with such matters.  In addition, our firm has provided neutrals to mediate disputes in the bankruptcy-insolvency context, as well as in various commercial disputes.
